We wanted to show off God of War’s new Norse world. But without gameplay to share, we had to do it in a brand new way. So we created A Call From The Wilds—an original text adventure game for Facebook Messenger.
Polygon named it the #7 God of War game of all time even though it is not a real video game—and is instead made entirely of Facebook messages, digital paintings, and runic poems.
Through 5,000+ unique commands, players explored the Norse wilds for the first time as Kratos' son, Atreus. Their reward for a successful quest? 8 pieces of exclusive commissioned artwork. Play it here.
