GOD OF WAR | THE LOST PAGES
When God of War changed everything for its 2018 release, we had a whole new world to introduce and explain—but not much gameplay to do it with. So we created The Lost Pages of Norse Myth. Most of the tales of Norse mythology are contained in an ancient tome: The Prose Edda. But like all old books, some pages went missing. That’s where Kratos comes in.
These Lost Pages were revealed over 9 months with a podcast, AR experience, storytelling videos, and hundreds of social posts.
We created a podcast with original God of War lore and interviews with God of War’s developers. Our stories bridged the gap between Greek and Norse mythology, and became canon to the game. Listen to the full 8-episode podcast series, or a sample below.

To tell the tale of The Dead Stone Mason, we brought one of the triptychs that appear in the game to life.
We dropped this image on PlayStation’s social channels, and fans speculated over every detail. Then we followed it with videos that filled them in on the broader Norse god history behind the game.
